Attention Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder is a combination of persistent problems, such as difficulty paying attention, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior. ADHD is commonly labeled as a child’s disorder that can be out grown but data shows us that many individuals diagnosed as a child will continue to experience symptoms in adulthood and adults are under-diagnosed, proper screening tools and ongoing support services can greatly support individuals looking to decrease their symptoms. We will be debunking myths around ADHD and providing resources throughout the month, follow along so we can all do our part to reduce the stigma around ADHD.
